“I close my eyes, so that I may see”

I focus on an intimate, candid, photojournalistic style of photography. I work very closely with the couple, their families and friends, so that everyone approaches me more as a friend who's around taking pictures, rather than a formal wedding photographer. This allows me to work unobtrusively and closely with my subjects.

A brilliant photographic legend Robert Capa famously said " If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough ". I firmly believe in this, and tend to work close to the centre of action, and not shooting on a telephoto lens from afar. This allows me to capture fleeting emotions and moments up close, making the pictures both personal and memorable.

With a background in film direction, I focus on your wedding photography as a storyteller. I am inspired by fashion and fine art photography, and include some stylised bridal beauty shots, elegant jewellery shots, and some abstract colourful still shots in the mix, which offer a fresh and visually diverse wedding story.

“A photograph is not made in the camera, but on either side of it.”

I love experiences, culture, people - my photographs are portals that carry the viewer to these journeys. These images are impossible to create without a deep sense of trust, connection and play. I would like to get to know you, celebrate your union and have fun together, while making some beautiful pictures along the way.

Every wedding is an opportunity for us to create a bond for a lifetime, and this is the legacy that I strive to create with my pictures.
